The Red Book

Liber Novus, also called The Red Book, represents the culmination of Jung's experimentation with the material of his own psyche. During a period of time he referred to as his "confrontation with the unconscious," Jung wholeheartedly devoted himself to interacting with the archetypes that emerged from his unconscious.

This profoundly deep work is rich with symbolic language and artwork and amounts to the development of a protocol for individuation of the human being--insofar as the basic archetypes are universal. Great care was taken by scholar Sonu Shamdasani, Jung's estate and others in its 2009 translation and release to preserve Jung's intent.
